We take pride in our environment at Sandstone Estates and we are now producing a regular garden report.
We are particularly keen to ensure that ladies who visit us enjoy the experience and we know the gardens will be something that many of them enjoy.
We received the following mail from Elize Van Heerden after a visit with a group at our recent Cherry Festival event. We have provided an English translation but it is very heartwarming for all of us at Sandstone to know that we have pleased our guests. Something we strive for with every visitor.
The ROCCI/FNB awards, while falling under the Roodepoort Chamber of Commerce, is not area bound and accepts nominations from far and wide and celebrates, showcases and recognises business excellence and their successes.
Having been nominated in September, Sandstone was invited to do a presentation on 26 September 2016 to a panel of judges made up of FNB, SAICA (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants – Chief Adjudicator), Business Partners and Ellen Oosthiuzen from BEBE’s Events.
97 Companies were nominated in 20 categories which included Large Corporations and Listed Companies, Medium Size Businesses, SME’s, Most Promising Young Entrepreneur and Tourism.
Sandstone was invited to attend a sumptuous and glittering gala evening at the Silver Star Casino on 5 November 2016 to announce the Bronze, Silver and Gold Award winners. These were kept secret until the night of the event. During the evening Sandstone was first presented on stage with a Certificate for being nominated Business of the Year by the President of ROCCI Marietjie Esterhuizen and Darryl Rose of Business Partners. Later in the evening Sandstone was honoured and delighted to receive the Gold Winner Award for Tourism which was presented by Mr. Gerhard Ferreira – Chairman of SAICA and Mr. Mohammed Cassim – Segment Head of FNB.
