Flying into the Sandstone Easter event

Please note that Helicopters will not be permitted to land at Sandstone Airport during this event. This is to avoid causing stress for our cattle herd. Alternative landing arrangements can be made with Ficksburg Sentraoes Airport which is close to Sandstone. Full details can be found on their website: https://acukwik.com/Airport-Info/FAFB

Fixed wing aircraft intending to land must contact our Event Coordinator, Mariette Palmer, on 064 752 3852. Contact should be made at least a week in advance of the event.

Sandstone has a large collection of vintage tractors and sometimes they need a run. They are ideal to use for tasks where our modern machines are just too large for the job. We have put together three short video clips of our vintage parade, the first clip shows our 1949 Massey Harris 55 followed by a 1960 John Deere 730, and finally a large unit for its day, a 1961 Massey Ferguson 95 Super. Enjoy the show!
