We were pleased to host an Australian tourist group recently at Sandstone led by Paul Rollason together with their Tour Guide, Johan Botha.

Vintage Spirit magazine from the UK has given us some excellent coverage on the upcoming Cherry Festival event at Sandstone. We look forward to welcoming some UK visitors to the warmer climate of South Africa in November.

We recently were advised that some very special, ex SAR, coaches were in danger of being scrapped in the Ladybrand area. These two coaches, which have been used for many years as part of a BnB, needed to be moved for new developments.

We recently hosted the FarRail Group from Germany for a day and a half at Sandstone during a break in their 3’6’ gauge activities with 25NC 3437 and 15F 2976. The tour was co-hosted by the New Cape Central Railway in South Africa.

Sadly we lost one of our key employees recently from the Livestock Division, Henry Mosito. Henry was a key member of our staff and will be sadly missed.
